Who we are
PeakMedia is a video rental service operated by Peakjewishmedia. Write to us at peakjewishmedia@gmail.com with any question about this site or about your information.
What we collect
- When you create an account we collect your name and email address.
- Your password, if you sign up with one. It is stored scrambled, and nobody at PeakJewishMedia can read it. If you use "Continue with Google" instead, we never receive a password at all — Google tells us only your name and email address.
- What you rent: which film, the date and the amount you paid.
- How many times each film has been opened in the player. This is a running total kept against the film, not a record of who opened it or how much of it they watched.
- If you publish films here, the payout details Stripe collects from you However we never see your bank account number.
Who else sees it
Other companies do parts of this work for us. Each sees only what its own job requires:
- Stripe processes payments and pays producers.
- Cloudflare Stream and Bunnystream store the video files and delivers them to the player.
- Supabase hosts our database and handles signing in.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Google takes part only if you press "Continue with Google".
We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to advertisers.
Cookies
We set one cookie: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in as you move between pages. Stripe sets its own cookies on the payment page, which Stripe hosts (https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal). We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept while your account is open, and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Figures that belong to a film rather than to you, such as its play count, stay with the film.
Your choices
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, or to close your account and delete the personal details on it. Write to peakjewishmedia@gmail.com. A few records have to be kept for accounting even after an account is closed, and we will tell you which ones if you ask.
Changes
If this page changes in a way that affects you, we will email account holders before the change takes effect or you will have to agree next time you log on to the site.
